Surah Al-Qamar
Surah 54 · The Moon · 55 verses · meccan
The Moon — al-Qamar, from the opening verse: "The Hour has come near, and the moon has split."
The story
People asked the Prophet ﷺ for a miracle, and the moon split in two right in front of them. This surah repeats one line over and over: Allah has made the Quran easy to remember — so will anyone remember it?
How it unfolds
