القيامة

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

   ✦1

   I swear by the Day of Resurrection

   ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍പിന്‍റെ നാളുകൊണ്ട് ഞാനിതാ സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു

2. وَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ

   ✦2

   And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]

   കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന മനസ്സിനെക്കൊണ്ടും ഞാന്‍ സത്യം ചെയ്തു പറയുന്നു

3. أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجۡمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ

   ✦3

   Does man think that We will not assemble his bones

   മനുഷ്യന്‍ വിചാരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ; നാം അവന്‍റെ എല്ലുകളെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടുകയില്ലെന്ന്‌

4. بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُۥ

   ✦4

   Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips

   അതെ, നാം അവന്‍റെ വിരല്‍ത്തുമ്പുകളെ പോലും ശരിപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ കഴിവുള്ളവനായിരിക്കെ

5. بَلۡ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ

   ✦5

   But man desires to continue in sin

   പക്ഷെ (എന്നിട്ടും) മനുഷ്യന്‍ അവന്‍റെ ഭാവി ജീവിതത്തില്‍ തോന്നിവാസം ചെയ്യാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നു

6. يَسۡـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

   ✦6

   He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection

   എപ്പോഴാണ് ഈ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍പിന്‍റെ നാള്‍ എന്നവന്‍ ചോദിക്കുന്നു

7. فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ

   ✦7

   So when vision is dazzled

   എന്നാല്‍ കണ്ണ് അഞ്ചിപ്പോകുകയും

8. وَخَسَفَ ٱلۡقَمَرُ

   ✦8

   And the moon darkens

   ചന്ദ്രന്ന് ഗ്രഹണം ബാധിക്കുകയും

9. وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ

   ✦9

   And the sun and the moon are joined

   സൂര്യനും ചന്ദ്രനും ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്താല്‍

10. يَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ

    ✦10

    Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape

    അന്നേ ദിവസം മനുഷ്യന്‍ പറയും; എവിടെയാണ് ഓടിരക്ഷപ്പെടാനുള്ളതെന്ന്‌

11. كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ

    ✦11

    No! There is no refuge

    ഇല്ല. യാതൊരു രക്ഷയുമില്ല

12. إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ

    ✦12

    To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence

    നിന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കലേക്കാണ് അന്നേ ദിവസം ചെന്നുകൂടല്‍

13. يُنَبَّؤُاْ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ

    ✦13

    Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back

    അന്നേ ദിവസം മനുഷ്യന്‍ മുന്‍കൂട്ടി ചെയ്തതിനെപ്പറ്റിയും നീട്ടിവെച്ചതിനെപ്പറ്റിയും അവന്ന് വിവരമറിയിക്കപ്പെടും

14. بَلِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٞ

    ✦14

    Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness

    തന്നെയുമല്ല. മനുഷ്യന്‍ തനിക്കെതിരില്‍ തന്നെ ഒരു തെളിവായിരിക്കും

15. وَلَوۡ أَلۡقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ

    ✦15

    Even if he presents his excuses

    അവന്‍ ഒഴികഴിവുകള്‍ സമര്‍പ്പിച്ചാലും ശരി

16. لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦٓ

    ✦16

    Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an

    നീ അത് (ഖുര്‍ആന്‍) ധൃതിപ്പെട്ട് ഹൃദിസ്ഥമാക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടി അതും കൊണ്ട് നിന്‍റെ നാവ് ചലിപ്പിക്കേണ്ട

17. إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا جَمۡعَهُۥ وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ

    ✦17

    Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അതിന്‍റെ (ഖുര്‍ആന്‍റെ) സമാഹരണവും അത് ഓതിത്തരലും നമ്മുടെ ബാധ്യതയാകുന്നു

18. فَإِذَا قَرَأۡنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعۡ قُرۡءَانَهُۥ

    ✦18

    So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation

    അങ്ങനെ നാം അത് ഓതിത്തന്നാല്‍ ആ ഓത്ത് നീ പിന്തുടരുക

19. ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهُۥ

    ✦19

    Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]

    പിന്നീട് അത് വിവരിച്ചുതരലും നമ്മുടെ ബാധ്യതയാകുന്നു

20. كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ

    ✦20

    No! But you love the immediate

    അല്ല, നിങ്ങള്‍ ക്ഷണികമായ ഈ ജീവിതത്തെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു

21. وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ

    ✦21

    And leave the Hereafter

    പരലോകത്തെ നിങ്ങള്‍ വിട്ടേക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു

22. وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاضِرَةٌ

    ✦22

    [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant

    ചില മുഖങ്ങള്‍ അന്ന് പ്രസന്നതയുള്ളതും

23. إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٞ

    ✦23

    Looking at their Lord

    അവയുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്‍റെ നേര്‍ക്ക് ദൃഷ്ടി തിരിച്ചവയുമായിരിക്കും

24. وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بَاسِرَةٞ

    ✦24

    And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted

    ചില മുഖങ്ങള്‍ അന്നു കരുവാളിച്ചതായിരിക്കും

25. تَظُنُّ أَن يُفۡعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٞ

    ✦25

    Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking

    ഏതോ അത്യാപത്ത് അവയെ പിടികൂടാന്‍ പോകുകയാണ് എന്ന് അവര്‍ വിചാരിക്കും

26. كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِيَ

    ✦26

    No! When the soul has reached the collar bones

    അല്ല, (പ്രാണന്‍) തൊണ്ടക്കുഴിയില്‍ എത്തുകയും

27. وَقِيلَ مَنۡۜ رَاقٖ

    ✦27

    And it is said, "Who will cure [him]

    മന്ത്രിക്കാനാരുണ്ട് എന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുകയും

28. وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡفِرَاقُ

    ✦28

    And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation

    അത് (തന്‍റെ) വേര്‍പാടാണെന്ന് അവന്‍ വിചാരിക്കുകയും

29. وَٱلۡتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ

    ✦29

    And the leg is wound about the leg

    കണങ്കാലും കണങ്കാലുമായി കൂടിപ്പിണയുകയും ചെയ്താല്‍

30. إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمَسَاقُ

    ✦30

    To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession

    അന്ന് നിന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കലേക്കായിരിക്കും തെളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു പോകുന്നത്‌

31. فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ

    ✦31

    And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed

    എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല. അവന്‍ നമസ്കരിച്ചതുമില്ല

32. وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

    ✦32

    But [instead], he denied and turned away

    പക്ഷെ അവന്‍ നിഷേധിക്കുകയും പിന്തിരിയുകയും ചെയ്തു

33. ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ

    ✦33

    And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride]

    എന്നിട്ടു ദുരഭിമാനം നടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് അവന്‍ അവന്‍റെ സ്വന്തക്കാരുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് പോയി

34. أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰ

    ✦34

    Woe to you, and woe

    (ശിക്ഷ) നിനക്കേറ്റവും അര്‍ഹമായതു തന്നെ. നിനക്കേറ്റവും അര്‍ഹമായതു തന്നെ

35. ثُمَّ أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰٓ

    ✦35

    Then woe to you, and woe

    വീണ്ടും നിനക്കേറ്റവും അര്‍ഹമായത് തന്നെ. നിനക്കേറ്റവും അര്‍ഹമായത് തന്നെ

36. أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتۡرَكَ سُدًى

    ✦36

    Does man think that he will be left neglected

    മനുഷ്യന്‍ വിചാരിക്കുന്നുവോ; അവന്‍ വെറുതെ വിട്ടേക്കപ്പെടുമെന്ന്‌

37. أَلَمۡ يَكُ نُطۡفَةٗ مِّن مَّنِيّٖ يُمۡنَىٰ

    ✦37

    Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted

    അവന്‍ സ്രവിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ശുക്ലത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു കണമായിരുന്നില്ലേ

38. ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ

    ✦38

    Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]

    പിന്നെ അവന്‍ ഒരു ഭ്രൂണമായി. എന്നിട്ട് അല്ലാഹു (അവനെ) സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു സംവിധാനിച്ചു

39. فَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓ

    ✦39

    And made of him two mates, the male and the female

    അങ്ങനെ അതില്‍ നിന്ന് ആണും പെണ്ണുമാകുന്ന രണ്ടു ഇണകളെ അവന്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കി

40. أَلَيۡسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحۡـِۧيَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ

    ✦40

    Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead

    അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവന്‍ മരിച്ചവരെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ കഴിവുള്ളവനല്ലെ
